American Spirit (Race 5) is staged mid-continent in Houston, Texas at Ellington Field. This former jet warbird is ready to perform at your airshow–either in the air or on static ground display–when it is not racing at Reno.

Manufactured in the Czech Republic and imported from Russia, Race 5 is an Aero Vodochody L-39C Albatros jet trainer that has been rechristened "American Spirit". Serving as a jet-powered emissary to North American airshows, American Spirit is also active in the L-39 Jet Class Racing series held annually at the Reno National Air Races.
